Latest Releases: July 2016 | News | MN2S

July 2016 has come and gone, but the latest releases from the MN2S label group are here to stay.

The first week of July brought us an upbeat new single from Hideo Kobayashi and Cinnamon Denise. The fourth release on Kobayashi’s label Fuente Music, ‘You Do You’ is a catchy pop house track that comes complete with a pitch-shifted remix from Jay-J.

We also heard a supremely funky track from Sharon Brown Adams on DJ Spen’s Quantize Music. ‘We Got the Funk’ is a rework of Positive Force’s club classic. Almost 40 years on, it sounds as fresh as it did on day one.

On the second week of July we explored the deeper end of the house spectrum with Joe Munday’s dark track ‘Sunshine’ and its companion tracks ‘Hugh Grant’ and ‘As Free As She Sounds’ on the always bold Krankbrother label. LoveStyle Records dug into the vault to treat us to another batch of Lost Tapes from various artists, this time with tracks from Loving Arms, Yvvan Back, Dmitrii G and Noe Solange.

As we entered the second half of July we heard the second release from ERYN: Samuel Dan’s aggressive ‘Janko’. We also witnessed a moody EP from Kiki and Alessio Pagliaroli on My Favorite Robot Records, and two great singles from two more great labels: Come With Me on Def Mix Music, and ‘Snakes in the Bed’ on Kaoz Theory.

As July came to a close, Celesta Recordings graced us with ‘R.A.W’s ‘Somewhere In Time’ and Something Different Records released Jeff Fader’s techno treat ‘Between the Lines’.
