MN2S works with some of the best independent record labels in electronic music on digital music distribution and other services. These are some of the best releases we handled last month.
Lost in Time: ‘Lost in the Storm’ – Ralph Lawson
Unleashed at the start of the month, ‘Lost in the Storm’ was a mammoth release, packing a whopping five remixes and a B-side. Remixes came from Rui-Z, Barem, Hector Couto, Shaun Reeves and Fernando. The track was originally released one year ago, but has now been signed by Lost in Time, who have given it a fresh lease of life, with remixes developing it to its full potential.
Nofitstate: Schatten EP – Kevin Over
Also from the beginning of October, German producer Kevin Over’s Schatten EP is actually shorter than ‘Lost in the Storm’ but it packs no less of a punch. The three unique tracks display Over’s unrivalled grasp of texture, with production that borders on lush, but has a distinctive clipped edge.
UNDR THE RADR: Intimidating Love Remixes – S-Man & Riddim Commission
UNDR THE RADR knew they had a monster track on their hands with S-Man & Riddim Commission’s ‘Intimidating Love’, so they brought in Endor, ATFC and Ki Creighton to provide appropriately foreboding remixes. All four of the tracks maintain some semblance of the original hook, but they pull the song in wildly different directions, with ATFC’s remix in particular adding 90s-inspired piano riffs to the proceedings.
Rockets & Ponies: Timo Maas – Starter EP
Timo Maas is back on his Rockets & Ponies imprint with a brand new EP. Starter features a title track, ‘Call Me a Taxi’, and ‘Crack Jack’, all great examples of the German maestro’s techno talents. The remix from Mathimidori is the icing on the cake.
