South African house DJ and producer Miza releases his new album, Mmino Wa Batho, worldwide on Friday December 6th. It’s his first release through MN2S’ distribution platform.
Mmino Wa Batho will be Miza’s fifth album, marking a further step in his ongoing journey. Its tracks are inspired by the recent boom in African house music, but they also draw on aspects of Afro, Deep, and Soulful house. Miza has worked with some of the most talented and exciting names in his field for the album, including Kabomo, Lady Alma, and Fulu. The theme of collaboration is at its heart.
“This album is about community, culture, and connection,” its creator explains. “I wanted to create a sound that resonates with people from all walks of life, something that can be celebrated worldwide but stays rooted in our own unique style.”
Several of the tracks have already been playlisted on major streaming platforms, Miza is excited about working with MN2S to bring the whole album to go-to House music platforms such as Beatport and Traxsource, among others.
“Releasing Mmino Wa Batho is deeply personal and rewarding,” he elaborates. “This album is a reflection of my journey, the community I come from, and the energy that fuels my passion for music. Each track is a piece of the story I’ve been wanting to tell—a mix of our soulful house heritage, the new directions Afro House is taking, and the essence of collaboration with incredible artists.”
