The Team GB climber and 5-time national champ was asked to take part in the BBC’s Young Reporter Festival.

Molly Thompson-Smith joined the team at the BBC’s annual celebration of rising journalistic talent this year, discussing the competitive world of top-ranking sports and how to transform your passion into a presenting career with fellow sporting talents Melissa Sharman, Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, and Liam MacDevitt. The panel also answered questions from budding journalists on how to break into the media, as they inspired the next generation of talent to start building their careers in journalism. Molly Thompson-Smith is one of the UK’s most promising climbing talents. This 5-time National Lead Climbing Champion currently sits 7th in the Global Lead Climbing rankings, and was the first British woman to win a medal in a Lead World Cup event, making history for British climbing. Molly is also a popular influencer and social media personality, with over 70k followers on Instagram and a global following.
