Since reaching the GBBO final in 2018, Ruby Bhogal has been going from strength to strength, and last week had her third recipe published on GQ. This recipe follows her festive Orange and Amaretto Cake with Apricot and Raisin; and her “healthy-ish January bake”, a Chocolate and Beetroot Cake, with Raspberry Chia Jam. Ruby’s latest offering for Valentine’s Day 2019 can be made all year round, for those of you looking to impress!
Speaking to GQ about her Chocolate & Champagne Fondue Cake recipe, Ruby says:
“What says, “I love you,” more than chocolates and champagne? Don’t get me wrong, this cake definitely isn’t just for those in a relationship (I couldn’t exclude myself now, could I?), but for you singletons, too (I’d just advise not being shy with the bubbles and treating yourself by adding in the best part of the bottle #selflove). I honestly think I am a genius for this little number: we have chocolate in the form of a decadently rich, fudgey sponge and a fondue-style dipping sauce.”
