Jon Lovitz was the keynote speaker at a charity event for Big Dog Ranch Rescue this week, the largest cage-free, no-kill dog rescue charity in the United States. The event, Big Dog Ranch Rescue Gala, was an invite-only affair that sought to raise awareness around dog rescue, providing them with the care they need and placing animals with loving families. Taking place December 6th, the Gala was a fundraising event aimed at bringing in donations to help Big Dog Ranch Rescue continue the essential work that they do. With a number of high-profile guests in attendance – including members of the Trump family – the even saw Lovitz offer a heartwarming speech that informed attendees about Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s work, alongside a comedic skit to entertain the room.

Jon Lovitz is an Emmy-nominated actor and comedian best known for his five-year stint as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (1985-1990), where he created iconic characters like Tommy Flanagan the Pathological Liar and Master Thespian. His distinctive voice and comedic timing have led to success in film (“A League of Their Own,” “Big”), television (“The Critic,” “Friends”), and voice acting (including “The Brave Little Toaster”). A veteran of improv comedy with The Groundlings, Lovitz continues to perform stand-up across the country and has appeared in over 100 films and TV shows, bringing his unique blend of sarcasm and charm to every role.
