We are delighted to welcome reggae star Julian Marley to the MN2S booking agency live roster this week.
Son of Bob Marley and Barbados-born Lucy Pounder, he has followed in his father’s footsteps with an impressive musical journey. Receiving tutelage from reggae legends his father worked with, he has risen to become a GRAMMY Award-nominated singer-songwriter and producer – and made multiple contributions to Lauryn Hill’s GRAMMY Award-winning ‘The Miseducation Of…’. He also received an IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards) for Best Album Of The Year for ‘Awake’.
He performed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing alongside The Uprising to celebrate fellow countryman Usain Bolt’s medals – at the invitation of the Jamaican government – and has been part of the Africa Unite tour across the continent.
He also collaborated with siblings Stephen, Damian, Cedlla and Kymani for a special version of their father’s classic ‘Master Blaster’ for Stevie Wonder’s ‘Conception: An Interpretation of Stevie Wonder Songs’ album.
