Adriatique is a Swiss electronic music producer and DJ duo formed by Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer. The two Adrians first met in Zürich around 2008 and quickly discovered a shared interest in music, which led them to begin collaborating on productions and live performances in 2009. Their initial releases in 2011, including “The L. Way” and “Deep In The Three,” along with the EP Playground, introduced their melodic house and techno style to the European underground scene. This early period involved performances in local Swiss clubs as they developed their distinctive sound.
After gaining initial recognition, Adriatique affiliated with Diynamic Music, DJ Solomun’s label. In 2016, they established their own label, Siamese, primarily as a platform for their own music and emerging artists. A significant milestone was their debut full-length studio album, “Nude,” released in 2018 through Afterlife, which expanded their musical range and received critical acclaim. Throughout their career, they have released EPs on labels such as Cityfox and Culprit and produced remixes for artists like Moby, DJ Hell, and Stephan Bodzin.
In 2019, Adriatique marked ten years together with the release of the “X” EP on Siamese, expanding the label into a multidisciplinary artistic platform. Their career progression led to remixing tracks for notable artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL and the collaboration between Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd in 2022. They also launched “X” as an event series that year, extending their international presence with editions in major global cities like Zurich, Tel Aviv, and Ibiza, and culminated in performances at prestigious venues such as the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt, in 2023. Between 2024 and 2026, they further solidified their global festival presence, performing at events like Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland, while continuing to release singles and remixes.
