United Kingdom Depeche Mode has significantly shaped electronic music, evolving from synth-pop pioneers to global stadium headliners and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
Hublot and Depeche Mode have collaborated multiple times since 2010 to support various causes. Their partnership has raised funds and awareness for childhood cancer research, provided clean water to developing communities through charity: water, and currently focuses on environmental sustainability with The Conservation Collective. They've released limited edition watches, with proceeds supporting these charities, raising significant amounts for their causes.

This collection of music videos, directed and filmed by Anton Corbijn, has been freshly restored from original Super 8 sources and includes 11 music videos plus 6 previously unreleased outtake 'vignettes.' The release features new artwork and liner notes by Anton Corbijn.

Sony Music Entertainment is continuing the Depeche Mode 12" vinyl singles project with the release of "Spirit | The 12" Singles." This collector's edition deluxe box set, due on September 20, 2024, contains seven 12" vinyl discs, including custom replicas of original singles and a bonus disc featuring the first-ever 12" vinyl pressing of the band’s Highline Sessions, recorded live in New York City.

Depeche Mode formed in Basildon, Essex, England, in 1980. The original lineup included Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher, and Vince Clarke. They quickly became known for their electronic synth-pop sound. In 1981, they released their debut album, “Speak & Spell.” Following the album’s release, Vince Clarke, the primary songwriter at the time, departed the band. Martin Gore then assumed the main songwriting responsibilities. In 1982, Alan Wilder joined the group, contributing to their evolving sound with the introduction of synthesizers and samplers, which helped forge an industrial-influenced style evident in albums like “Construction Time Again” (1983) and “Some Great Reward” (1984).
The 1980s saw Depeche Mode gain significant international recognition. “People Are People” (1984) became their first US Top 20 hit and a number one in West Germany. The albums “Black Celebration” (1986) and “Music for the Masses” (1987) cemented their status in electronic and alternative music scenes. A significant milestone was their June 1988 concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, which attracted over 60,000 attendees, marking a breakthrough in the United States. The 1990 album “Violator” reached number seven on the Billboard 200 and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA, featuring successful singles like “Personal Jesus” and “Enjoy the Silence.” The ensuing World Violation Tour included stadium shows in the US, selling out venues rapidly.
Over the decades, Depeche Mode continued to release critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums, including “Songs of Faith and Devotion” (1993), which topped both UK and US charts. Despite internal challenges during this period, including Alan Wilder’s departure in 1995, the band persevered as a trio with Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher. They released “Ultra” in 1997, which debuted at number one in the UK and Germany. Later albums such as “Playing the Angel” (2005) and “Sounds of the Universe” (2009) maintained their global presence and critical acclaim. Following Andy Fletcher’s passing in 2022, Gahan and Gore continued as a duo, releasing “Memento Mori” in 2023. The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide, had numerous chart-topping albums and singles, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.
