Alesso

Alesso is an internationally recognized Swedish DJ and record producer known for his progressive house and pop productions. After releasing his Alesso EP in 2010, Alesso rapidly rose to prominence, mentored by Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia in early 2011. This collaboration yielded the 2011 track ‘Calling,’ successful on Beatport charts. That year, Alesso’s remix of Nadia Ali’s ‘Pressure’ topped The Hype Machine, becoming one of the year’s most played EDM tracks.

His rapid ascent was marked by a ranking of 70th on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list by the close of 2011. Throughout 2012, Alesso’s profile expanded; MTV named him an ‘EDM Rookie to Watch.’ He delivered an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 in March 2012 and performed for 60,000 attendees at Creamfields. He also joined Madonna’s MDNA World Tour for selected European dates. That year, ‘Years’ featuring Matthew Koma performed well in the UK, and he climbed to 20th on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list.

He debuted ‘Tear the Roof Up,’ featured as a ‘Future Exclusive’ by Zane Lowe, with its music video premiering exclusively on Snapchat in September 2014. He then embarked on his ‘Heroes Tour,’ named after his December 2014 single ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ featuring Tove Lo. This tour supported Chime for Change, raising over $50,000 for women’s empowerment in October 2014. Following the February 2015 release of ‘Cool’ featuring Roy English, Alesso released his debut album, ‘Forever,’ on May 22, 2015, via Def Jam Recordings.

He played three sold-out shows at Hollywood Palladium in October 2018. High-profile appearances continued into 2019 at Venezuela Live Aid and the Indy 500 Snake Pit, followed by Road to Ultra Taiwan in November 2020. Most recently, Alesso performed ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ at the 2023 UEFA Champions League final in June.
