Nicky Romero’s career in electronic music commenced in 2007 with impactful releases such as ‘Privilege’ and ‘Qwerty’ on Once Records, followed by tracks including ‘Funktion One.’ His early work also featured notable remixes for Tony Cha Cha’s ‘Get on the Floor’ and a high-profile bootleg for David Guetta’s ‘When Love Takes Over,’ which significantly elevated his profile and led to further remixing opportunities with Ministry of Sound. By 2010, Romero’s track ‘My Friend’ garnered substantial attention, achieving Number 4 on Beatport’s worldwide overall chart and securing the Number 1 position on the Dance-Tunes chart, firmly establishing his presence in the global dance music scene. Romero achieved widespread mainstream success in 2012 with ‘Toulouse,’ a recording that consistently appeared on the Beatport Top Ten, prompting MTV to recognize him as an EDM artist to watch that year. This period also saw him secure a joint residency with David Guetta in Ibiza for the summer.

He continues to engage audiences globally through his weekly radio show, Protocol Radio. His creative output extends to notable collaborations such as ‘Feet On The Ground’ with Anouk in 2014 and ‘Where Would We Be’ with ROZES in 2018.
