Broods is a dynamic musical duo from Nelson, New Zealand, consisting of siblings Georgia and Caleb Nott. They burst onto the music scene in 2013 with their debut single “Bridges,” which quickly gained traction, reaching No. 8 on the New Zealand singles chart. Their unique blend of synth-pop and emotional depth resonated with audiences, leading to a signing with Capitol and Polydor Records. Their self-titled debut EP, released in January 2014, showcased their innovative sound and was followed by their acclaimed full-length album, “Evergreen,” which debuted at No. 1 in New Zealand.

The duo’s career continued to flourish with the release of their second album, “Conscious,” in June 2016, featuring collaborations with notable artists like Lorde and Tove Lo. Their ability to evolve their sound was evident as they incorporated live instrumentation into their electronic roots. Broods’ energetic performances and engaging stage presence led them to tour with major artists such as Ellie Goulding and Taylor Swift, further solidifying their reputation in the music industry.

In 2019, Broods released their third studio album, “Don’t Feed the Pop Monster,” which marked a new creative direction after parting ways with their label. This independence allowed them to fully express their artistic vision, resulting in a fresh and captivating sound. Their latest album, “Space Island,” released in February 2022, continued to showcase their growth and innovation.

Throughout their career, Broods has received numerous accolades, including ten New Zealand Music Awards, highlighting their impact on the music scene. With a commitment to pushing boundaries and a passion for storytelling through music, Broods remains a powerful force in the industry, captivating audiences worldwide.
