Dead Poet Society

Dead Poet Society formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2013, with a lineup consisting of Jack Underkofler (vocals, guitar), Jack Collins (guitar), Nick Taylor (bass guitar), and Will Goodroad (drums). The band members attended Berklee College of Music, where they developed their musical style. They began as an independent group, handling their own self-production and recording. In 2019, Dylan Brenner joined the band, replacing Nick Taylor on bass. Later, in 2020, Dead Poet Society signed with Spinefarm Records, marking a significant step in their career progression.

The band’s sound is characterized by a contrast between heavy, down-tuned guitar riffs and softer, pop-influenced choruses and verses. After graduating, the band relocated to Los Angeles. Their music gained traction in 2016 following a review by the Mexican blog Pepe Problemas, which led to an invitation to open for Sputnik on a national tour of Mexico. This initial exposure resulted in seven subsequent tours across Mexico over a two-year period, allowing them to cultivate a strong fan base. Their breakthrough in the United States occurred in 2019 when they were invited by Andrés to open his national tour, followed by opening for Badflower, which further solidified their presence in the U.S. rock scene.

Dead Poet Society released their debut album, “-!-“, in 2021, and a second album, “Fission”, in 2024. Throughout their career, they have released several EPs and singles, with some tracks charting on Mainstream Rock Airplay and Hot Hard Rock Songs charts, demonstrating their growing impact in the rock music genre. They tour regularly, performing at various venues and festivals.
