DJ Scratch

DJ Scratch is an incredible American DJ talent who has been showcasing his skills in clubs, at festivals and in stadiums for more than twenty years. A skilled selector and technically gifted DJ with real fair and showmanship, Scratch has manned the decks for global icons like P Diddy, Q-Tip and Jay Z and always lays down professional and party starting sets, which are as fun to watch as they are to listen to. Mentored by Jam Master Jay in the early days, he has won many DJ competitions in his long and storied career.
As well as being a true school scratch master, DJ Scratch is a fine producer. He has written music for TV shows and films in the US like Juice and The Original 50 Cent as well as Fly By Night and Spike Lee’s cult Bamboozled. He has also starred in adverts for Coca Cola and in 2012 was the inaugural recipient of the Global Spin Awards title of Turntablist of the Year. He has also been on, and won, DJ reality TV shows and played don Run DMC’s Run’s House World Tour in the late 80s. Amongst other things, Scratch is a key player in FM radio with his ScratchVision show on Fridays on New York Station WBLS. The legendary DJ also runs the online music network of the same name, ScratchVision, which is dedicated to the history of the DJ. It has seen live performances from the likes of Kenny Dope, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, Cash Money and Grandmaster Flash amongst many many more.
