G Jones

A significant turning point in G Jones’s career occurred in 2015 when DJ Shadow discovered his music, leading to the formation of the duo Nite School Klik. Under Shadow’s Liquid Amber label, Nite School Klik released the singles ‘Posse’ and ‘Nice Nightmares’ that same year, with Shadow publicly praising Jones’s innovative sound design capabilities. Prior to this, G Jones had already established a strong foundation in the electronic music scene. Adopting the G Jones moniker in 2012, he released the Mirage EP on Saturate!Records.

His prolific collaboration with Eprom commenced in 2016 with the track ‘Warrior’ and expanded significantly with the release of the Acid Disk EP in 2017. During this period, Jones also contributed to Bassnectar’s Reflective and Reflective – Part 2 EPs, providing the tracks ‘Underground’ and ‘Chromatek’ respectively in 2017, further cementing his impactful presence across the electronic music landscape. G Jones achieved a major commercial and critical milestone with the release of his debut album, The Ineffable Truth, in 2018. The album garnered widespread acclaim, notably securing the 5th position on Billboard’s highly competitive ‘Top 10 Best Dance/Electronic Albums of 2018.’ This success underscored his evolving sound design and sophisticated conceptual depth.

Looking ahead to 2025, G Jones is set to release a highly anticipated collaboration with Skrillex, the track ‘Druids,’ featured on the upcoming LP ‘FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! 3.’
