Aaron Taylor

Aaron Taylor, a singer, musician, and songwriter originating from South London, began his musical journey with classical training in school. He composed his first song at the age of 14, marking the start of a consistent focus on his craft. His early influences included gospel music, soul artists like Aretha Franklin, and contemporary R&B figures such as Usher. Taylor released his debut EP in 2016, which initiated his professional career in music. He also studied music at Goldsmith’s before transitioning to psychology, gaining a scientific understanding of human behavior.

Throughout his career, Taylor has achieved several notable milestones. He performed at the Jazz Cafe, where he experienced fans singing along to his original lyrics. His work has received recognition from Sir Elton John, who praised Taylor’s song and vocal abilities on his ‘Rocket Hour’ show on Apple Music Radio. In 2021, his song “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” a collaboration with Lalah Hathaway, was featured in Fresh Faves Batch 391. This collaboration emerged through a connection with someone working with Lalah Hathaway, leading to the artist’s approval of the track. Taylor released his debut album, “ICARUS,” in 2020. This was followed by the EP “Have A Nice Day!” in 2023, which featured tracks like “Coffee in the Morning,” “Joy Inside,” and “Ebbs and Flows.”

More recently, Taylor has continued to release new music. In March, he released “Across My Mind,” an acoustic ballad reflecting on a lost friendship, notable for featuring his own guitar playing. Following this, in April 2025, he released the single “Nevermind” through Edenic Records, an acoustic ballad exploring the disappointment of a lost relationship and the journey of moving forward. Both tracks are part of his upcoming EP, “Yours Always,” scheduled for release on May 23. These releases demonstrate his ongoing development as a songwriter and vocalist, showcasing a blend of introspective lyrics and varied musical styles.
