About

Aisha Dee was born in 1993 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Her career in entertainment began in 2008 with her role as Desi Biggins in Season 3 of the Australian-Canadian children’s television series, “The Saddle Club.” Following this, she took on a recurring character as Christine in the Australian-British series “Dead Gorgeous” in 2010. Dee relocated to Los Angeles, a pivotal move that led to her casting as Mackenzie Miller in the Fox sitcom “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” from 2011 to 2013, solidifying her presence in American television. Her early experiences also included co-starring as Elizabeth “Beth” Kingston in the ABC Family drama “Chasing Life” from 2014 to 2015, showcasing her ability to handle various television formats and character types.

Dee’s career progressed with a notable role as Kat Edison in the Freeform comedy-drama series “The Bold Type,” which premiered in 2017 and ran until 2021. This role brought her significant recognition and critical attention. Concurrently, she expanded her acting portfolio to include the horror genre, starring as Jules Koja in the Syfy anthology series “Channel Zero: No-End House” in 2017. Her commitment to diverse roles continued with her main role as Cecilia/Sissy in the 2022 film “Sissy.” More recently, Dee took on the lead role of Phoebe in the 2023 Australian drama miniseries “Safe Home,” for which she received an Asian Academy Creative Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2023. Further upcoming projects include the 2025 film “One More Shot” and the series “Watching You,” along with a role in the Netflix limited series “Apple Cider Vinegar.”

Beyond her acting career, Dee has also pursued music, releasing EPs both as the frontwoman of ‘Dee Dee & the Beagles’ and as a solo artist. In 2023, she became the first brand ambassador for Lancôme in Australia and New Zealand, a partnership that reflects her growing influence and appeal. Her professional journey underscores a consistent commitment to her craft, marked by significant roles in both acting and music, establishing her as a recognized figure in the entertainment industry.
