Alexis Y Fido officially teamed up as a duo for the album ‘Desafío,’ marking a pivotal moment that led to appearances on major projects like ‘Grayskull II,’ ‘La Mision III,’ and Yandels solo album ‘Quien Contra Mi.’ Their highly anticipated debut album, The Pitbulls, released in 2005, ascended to number one on the Top Latin Albums chart and achieved gold status worldwide. The duo further cemented their recognition with the single ‘Eso Ehh!,’ which entered the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot Latin Singles in 2005 and was notably featured on HBO’s The Wire and the hit TV series Entourage. Building on this success, Alexis Y Fido released a singles collection, Los Reyes del Perreo, in 2006. The following year, they expanded their presence into film, appearing in the reggaetón-centered drama Feel the Noise before unveiling their album Sobrenatural.
The album La Esencia further underscored their critical acclaim with a nomination for Álbum Urbano in 2014. Throughout their career, Alexis Y Fido have released eight studio albums, embarked on multiple world tours, and accumulated hundreds of millions of streams, showcasing their distinct sound, which has earned them the moniker ‘Los Reyes del Perreo.’ Known for their ability to seamlessly blend commercial appeal with authentic reggaeton, Alexis Y Fido have also strategically explored collaborations with a diverse range of artists, including Rauw Alejandro, and previously with Bad Bunny and Noriel, demonstrating their adaptability while staying true to their signature style. Despite navigating challenges related to label support and industry recognition, the duo has consistently prioritized their independence and collaborative vision.
