Amber Liu

Amber Liu has diversified her career from a K-pop idol to a solo artist, television personality, and advocate for self-expression. After debuting in September 2009 as a member of the acclaimed South Korean girl group f(x), Amber Liu quickly established herself as a dynamic artist, contributing significantly to the group’s discography. Liu composed and wrote lyrics for tracks including ‘Goodbye Summer’ from f(x)’s second studio album, Pink Tape (2013), and ‘Summer Lover’ from their third album, Red Light (2014). Her early collaborations extended to fellow artists such as Girls’ Generation’s Yuri for a cover of ‘1, 2 Step’ (2009) and Taiwanese singer Danson Tang for his lead single ‘I’m Back’ (2010), where Liu provided Korean and English rap vocals and featured in the accompanying music video.

In 2020, Liu released her second EP, X, further showcasing her evolving artistry. Her influence in Asia continued to grow, as she was confirmed as a mentor on China’s prominent competition show Produce Camp 2021 in 2021, the same year she signed with Ryce Entertainment for her activities in China. She followed this success with the release of her third EP, y? in 2021, and her fourth EP, Z!, in 2022, continuing to build a prolific and internationally recognized solo career across both music and television.
