Allison Ponthier

Allison Ponthier, professionally known as August Ponthier, is an American indie folk and country singer-songwriter known for their transparent authenticity and delicate creativity. After signing with Interscope Records in 2020, August Ponthier released their highly anticipated debut EP, ‘Faking My Own Death,’ in August 2021. The lead single, ‘Cowboy,’ written in 2017, garnered significant attention and was recognized by Billboard as one of the ’25 Best Songs By LGBTQ Artists of 2021 (So Far).’ Its accompanying music video drew critical acclaim for its inspirations from films such as Death Becomes Her, The Witches, and Troll 2.
