100 Gecs is an American musical duo that consistently pushes creative boundaries in the experimental pop landscape. After self-releasing their debut EP, ‘100 gecs,’ on July 12, 2016, the American musical duo 100 Gecs, comprised of Dylan Brady and Laura Les, rapidly garnered attention for their unique sound. Characterized by a chaotic yet catchy mixture of hyperpop, experimental pop, electropop, electronic rock, and pop-punk, their artistic approach pushed creative boundaries. A pivotal moment in their career arrived following a DJ set at the 2019 Minecraft Fire Festival, which fueled further collaboration and culminated in the release of their debut album, ‘1000 gecs,’ on May 31, 2019.
The duo continued their discography expansion and robust touring schedule with the critically anticipated release of their second studio album, ‘10,000 gecs,’ in 2023. This album marked an evolution in their sound, showcasing a more mainstream and mature approach, with Laura Les occasionally performing without their characteristic autotune. In support of ‘10,000 gecs,’ the group embarked on extensive tours, featuring supporting acts like Tony Velour, Underscores, Aaron Cartier, Alice Gas, and Machine Girl. Their dynamic live performances have graced the stages of major festivals, including Coachella, BUKU, Ceremonia, Forecastle, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
Further diversifying their artistic affiliations and reaching new audiences, 100 Gecs has also completed successful supporting tours with iconic acts such as Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance, solidifying their unique position at the forefront of experimental pop.
