Produced by Brown and Justin Savage, this breakthrough project quickly charted on the Billboard 200, Top Gospel Albums, and Independent Albums charts. The album garnered significant industry recognition, earning 11 Stellar Award nominations and a Dove Award nomination for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Album of the Year in 2012. By 2013, Anthony Brown & group therAPy secured two Stellar Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year and Best Group Duo of the Year, while their hit song ‘Testimony’ was recognized by Billboard Magazine as the longest-running Top 10 Gospel Radio Single.
This was followed by the launch of their single ‘Up Up Up’ in 2024, further showcasing their enduring artistry and commitment to contemporary gospel music. Anthony Brown’s influential songwriting was first recognized in 2009 when his composition ‘It Ain’t Over’ became a number one gospel hit for Maurette Brown Clark, preceding his role as Assistant Minister of Music and later worship leader at First Baptist Church of Glenarden since 2008.
