Anthony Ramos has established himself as a versatile actor, singer, and songwriter known for his impactful performances across Broadway, film, and television. After originating the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the off-Broadway production of ‘Hamilton’ at The Public Theater in 2014, Anthony Ramos went on to achieve widespread acclaim as the production moved to Broadway in 2015. His performance earned him a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2016, and the live stage recording later garnered him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2021. Ramos, who graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s musical theater program in 2011 on a full Seinfeld Scholarship, began his professional career in regional and touring productions, including a 2012 staging of ‘In the Heights’ where he played Sonny de la Vega and understudied Usnavi de la Vega.
He signed with Republic Records in 2019, subsequently releasing his debut album, The Good & The Bad, the same year. His second album, Love and Lies, followed in 2021. In film, he continued to secure prominent roles, co-starring in ‘Dumb Money’ (2023) and ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ (2023). Most recently, Anthony Ramos starred in the action-thriller ‘Twisters’ (2024) and is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Parker Robbins in the upcoming series ‘Ironheart,’ slated for release in 2025.
