Banks, also known as Jillian Rose Banks, is an American singer and songwriter recognized for her unique blend of alternative pop, R&B, and electronic music. She has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase through her introspective songwriting and distinct vocal style, performing at major festivals and touring globally. After gaining initial recognition through her distinct vocal style and unique blend of alternative pop, R&B, and electronic music, Banks released her debut extended play (EP), ‘Fall Over,’ in March 2013. Her track ‘Before I Ever Met You,’ uploaded to SoundCloud in February 2013, quickly gained traction after being played by DJ Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.

Diversifying her creative output, Banks also published the book ‘Generations of Women from the Moon’ in 2019. Following her departure from Harvest Records, she transitioned to independent releases, unveiling her first independent single, ‘The Devil,’ in June 2021. This marked a new chapter, leading to the release of her fourth studio album, ‘Serpentina,’ independently in April 2022. In September 2024, Banks celebrated the 10th anniversary of her debut album ‘Goddess’ with the release of ‘Goddess: Unplugged,’ an acoustic album, accompanied by a series of special live shows through December 2024.

Building anticipation for her next body of work, she released the single ‘I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend’ featuring Doechii in October 2024, followed by ‘Best Friends’ in November 2024, and ‘Love Is Unkind’ in January 2025. Her fifth studio album, ‘Off with Her Head,’ is set to release in February 2025, continuing her impactful journey in the music industry.
