Brooke Eden

Born Brooke Eden Helvie on December 30, 1988, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Brooke Eden developed an interest in music early on, accompanying her father, a local country group drummer, to performances. During her teenage years, she performed at local music festivals, opening for notable acts such as Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn. Eden’s early career involved appearances on reality television, auditioning for both the seventh and tenth seasons of “American Idol,” where she reached Hollywood week in the seventh season. After graduating from Wellington High School in 2007 and later earning a marketing degree from the University of Florida, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. In 2013, she secured a publishing deal with BMI, marking a significant step in her professional music career.

Eden independently released a self-titled extended play in March 2014, followed by the single “American Dreamin'” in July of the same year, which garnered satellite radio attention. This generated interest led to her signing with Red Bow Records, a subsidiary of Broken Bow Records, in 2015. Her single “Daddy’s Money” was released in December 2015, charting at number 50 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. She continued to release music, including her second EP, “Welcome to the Weekend,” and its lead single “Diamonds” in September 2016, followed by “Act Like You Don’t” as a second single in February 2017. Her career has included notable performances, such as opening for Garth Brooks’ stadium tour in June 2019 for 60,000 fans at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. In 2021, she released new songs “No Shade” and “Sunroof.”

In January 2021, Eden publicly came out, after having kept her relationship with Hilary Hoover, a radio promoter, discreet since December 2015. This personal transparency has influenced her recent music, leading to projects like her EP “Choosing You,” released in July 2022, and “Outlaw Love” in June 2023. These releases reflect a period of personal and creative liberation, where she embraced her authentic self. In August 2022, she married Hilary Hoover in Nashville, Tennessee, with the ceremony officiated by Trisha Yearwood. In 2026, she joined the supergroup The Cowgays, alongside Adam Mac and Chris Housman, further diversifying her musical collaborations. Her advocacy for authenticity and inclusivity in country music is reflected in her work and public statements.
