Beach Bunny is an American rock band that has made significant waves in the music industry since its formation in 2015. Initially a solo project by the talented guitarist and vocalist Lili Trifilio, the project quickly evolved into a full band by 2017. The group gained widespread recognition with their 2018 hit “Prom Queen,” which went viral on TikTok, showcasing their ability to resonate with a younger audience and marking a pivotal moment in their career.
The band’s journey continued to flourish with the release of their first full-length album, “Honeymoon,” on February 14, 2020. Produced by Joe Reinhart at the renowned Electrical Audio studio, the album received critical acclaim and was featured on prestigious Best Albums of 2020 lists by The New York Times and Rolling Stone. The infectious track “Cloud 9” further solidified their presence on social media, being featured in over 2 million TikTok videos, demonstrating their cultural impact and popularity.
In the following years, Beach Bunny continued to evolve, releasing new singles such as “Good Girls (Don’t Get Used)” in November 2020 and their sophomore album “Emotional Creature” in July 2022. Their ability to consistently produce engaging music has kept them relevant in the ever-changing music landscape.
After the departure of lead guitarist Matt Henkels in 2022, Beach Bunny adapted to the change and released the single “Vertigo” in June 2024 as a three-piece band. With Lili Trifilio at the helm, supported by Jon Alvarado and Anthony Vaccaro, Beach Bunny remains a dynamic force in the rock genre, continually captivating audiences with their fresh sound and heartfelt lyrics.
