Beartooth is an American rock band known for its energetic live performances and a musical style that blends metalcore, hard rock, and melodic hardcore. After forming in 2012, Beartooth swiftly made their mark on the rock music scene. The project, initially spearheaded by multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo who recorded all instruments and handled production, quickly evolved into a powerful live act. Recruiting Nick Reed, Taylor Lumley, and Brandon Mullins for initial live performances, the band signed with Red Bull Records in 2013.
That same year, Beartooth released their debut EP, ‘Sick,’ in July, which was followed by their critically acclaimed debut full-length album, ‘Disgusting,’ in June 2014. The band immediately demonstrated their robust live presence by participating in the Vans Warped Tour in 2013, setting the stage for extensive global touring. Building on their early momentum, Beartooth released their highly anticipated second album, ‘Aggressive,’ in 2016. This album was met with significant industry recognition, earning the band the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Breakthrough Band in 2016.
Their continued global appeal was highlighted in 2022, when they were honored with the Heavy Music Award for Best International Artist. The band, currently featuring Oshie Bichar on bass, Connor Denis on drums, Zach Huston on lead guitar, and Will Deely on rhythm guitar, maintains an energetic live show that resonates with diverse audiences worldwide. In 2023, Beartooth released their latest full-length album, ‘The Surface,’ continuing their prolific output and commitment to their distinctive sound. Throughout their career, the band has consistently delivered critically recognized music and commanded stages globally, underscoring their position as a powerful and enduring force in the rock and metal scene.
