Dorothy Miranda Clark, known professionally as Dodie, was born on April 11, 1995, in Epping, Essex, England. Her career began on YouTube, where she cultivated a global following by sharing original songs and cover versions. Her main channel, “doddleoddle,” launched in February 2011, quickly garnered millions of subscribers and hundreds of millions of views, demonstrating her early impact as an independent artist. This online success laid the groundwork for her transition into a recording artist and author.

Dodie’s early independent releases proved highly successful. Her debut extended play (EP), “Intertwined,” released in November 2016, achieved commercial success by charting at number 35 on the official UK Albums Chart. This was followed by her second EP, “You,” in August 2017, which further climbed to number 6 on the UK Albums Chart and reached number 55 on the US Billboard 200. In November 2017, she expanded her creative endeavors with the publication of her autobiographical book, “Secrets for the Mad: Obsessions, Confessions and Life Lessons.” Her third EP, “Human,” released in January 2019, peaked at number 5 on the official UK Albums Chart, solidifying her position in the music industry.

In 2022, she released her fourth EP, “Hot Mess.” Dodie further diversifying her artistic work in 2023 by co-founding the indie pop supergroup Fizz, which released their debut album, “The Secret to Life.” Most recently, Dodie announced her second solo album, “Not For Lack of Trying,” set for release in October 2025, underscoring her consistent output and artistic development.
