Black Honey

Black Honey is a British four-piece indie rock band known for shaping a distinctive musical universe. After releasing their debut single ‘Sleep Forever’ in June 2014, the British four-piece indie rock band Black Honey quickly established their distinctive sound. Comprising lead vocalist and guitarist Izzy Baxter Phillips, guitarist Chris Ostler, bassist Tommy Taylor, and drummer Alex Woodward, the band followed their initial release with a self-titled debut EP in November 2014, featuring tracks such as ‘Teenager’ and ‘Bloodlust.’ Their first full-length studio album, Black Honey, was released in 2018 and immediately made an impact, climbing to number 33 on the highly competitive UK Albums Chart. This early success was bolstered by extensive touring, including support slots for acclaimed acts like Catfish and the Bottlemen and Royal Blood across major UK and European tours.

They also collaborated with director Craig Hemming on the videos for ‘Disinfect’ (2021) and ‘Charlie Bronson’ (2022), further enhancing their visual storytelling and reinforcing their independent ethos. The band’s consistent output and impressive chart performance underscore their enduring presence and development within the music industry. Black Honey released their third album, A Fistful of Peaches, in March 2023, building upon their established sound and dedicated fanbase. Looking ahead, the band has announced their highly anticipated fourth album, Soak, scheduled for release in August 2025, promising to continue their evolution and unique contribution to the indie rock landscape.
