Night Ranger

Night Ranger is an American hard rock band that achieved significant commercial success in the 1980s, known for their hit singles and albums. After the release of their breakthrough second album ‘Midnight Madness’ in 1983, Night Ranger established themselves as a formidable force in hard rock, propelling their signature sound into the mainstream. The band, which had solidified its initial five-member lineup with Jack Blades, Kelly Keagy, Brad Gillis, Alan Fitzgerald, and Jeff Watson, signed a pivotal deal with MCA Records in 1983. Their debut album, ‘Dawn Patrol’, released in 1982, set the stage for the success of ‘Midnight Madness’, which produced the international hit singles ‘(You Can Still) Rock in America’ and ‘When You Close Your Eyes,’ the latter reaching number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The band has continued to release a steady stream of studio and live albums, including ‘Somewhere in California’ (2011), ‘High Road’ (2014), and ‘Don’t Let Up’ (2017). In 2012, Night Ranger released the live DVD/album ’24 Strings and a Drummer’ and performed an a cappella rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner before a NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Their live legacy was further celebrated with ’35 Years and a Night in Chicago’, a live DVD/CD released in 2016. Most recently, Night Ranger released their acclaimed studio album ‘ATBPO’ in 2021, showcasing their enduring musical prowess and commitment to their distinctive hard rock sound.
