Rosie Bones and Carmen Vandenberg, the core of BONES UK, formed the band in London in 2014. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2019, explores themes such as beauty standards, toxic masculinity, and music industry sexism via a blend of rock and electronic music. The career trajectory of BONES UK includes early recognition from musician Jeff Beck, leading to their co-writing and touring for his 2016 album, “Loud Hailer.” After relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, the band gained prominence as a live act, performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza and touring with groups like Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, and The Cult. Their single “Pretty Waste” received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Performance in November 2019. In 2021, they released the single “Dirty Little Animals” for the animated TV series “Arcane,” and their second studio album, “Soft,” was released in 2024.
