About

Brett Allen Scallions was born on December 21, 1971, in Brownsville, Tennessee. His early exposure to music included listening to Elvis records and participating in church choir and high school plays, earning him scholarships to Lambuth University for music and theater. These early experiences laid the foundation for his musical career. In 1993, Scallions’ professional music journey began when bassist Jeff Abercrombie discovered him performing in a bar in Jackson, Tennessee. This encounter led to Scallions joining the band Fuel (originally Real 2 Reel), which later relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As the original lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Fuel from 1993 to 2006, and again from 2010 to 2020, Scallions was central to the band’s major successes. During his tenure, Fuel released four major-label albums, including “Something Like Human,” which achieved double-platinum status. His contributions as a singer and songwriter facilitated the band’s rise to prominence in the alternative rock genre.

After his initial departure from Fuel in 2006, Scallions explored various other musical endeavors. He played bass for The X’s and Circus Diablo, both of which were one-album projects followed by tours. In March 2007, he was selected as the lead singer for Riders on the Storm, a project featuring former members of The Doors, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek. This period showcased his versatility as a musician and his ability to collaborate across different rock styles. He also contributed lead vocals to “Something to Believe,” a charity single released by the band Hollow in 2010. Scallions returned to Fuel in 2010, reforming the band with new members and releasing the album “Puppet Strings” in 2014. Post-Fuel, he co-founded World Fire Brigade in 2012 with Sean Danielsen, releasing the heavier album “Spreading My Wings.” More recently, he formed Radiobot with Billy Harvey and Eddie Wohl, securing a release with Virgin Records. His continuous involvement in new projects exemplifies his sustained career in the music industry.
