Cifika, born Yousun Cho, has established herself as a prominent figure in the Korean electronic music scene. Her early years included time in the United States, which contributed to her distinctive lyrical style, often blending Korean and English. Cifika’s career began to gain significant traction with the release of two EPs, culminating in a highly praised collaboration titled “MOMOM” with Hyuk Oh, the lead singer of the Korean indie rock band Hyukoh. This period was marked by her exploration of electronic soundscapes and developing a unique artistic identity. In 2018, Cifika received the Korea Popular Music Award for Best Dance & Electronic Song, solidifying her standing in the industry. Later that year, her sophomore album, “ION,” was nominated for Best Electronic Album, further highlighting her innovative approach to the genre.
Cifika embarked on her first extensive U.S. tour in March 2018, marking a significant step into the American music market and showcasing her music to a global audience.
