Electronic vocalist and producer CIFIKA is fast making a name for herself with her ethereal vocals and otherworldly electronic soundscapes. Incorporating both English and Korean lyrics, she folds in genres such as R&B, house and pop, to create a truly unique musical experience. Unafraid to tackle the big concepts, her lyrics explore themes including spirituality, existence and the future.

CIFIKA initially uploaded her music to Soundcloud, where she began to gain notice for her futuristic and distinctive sound. She started out performing on the underground scene in Seoul, and was later signed to the Third Culture Kids record label. Her debut EP, Intelligentsia, was released in 2016, and features songs including I’m Awake, Light and Vision, and My Ego, which was later named Best Dance & Electronic Song at the 2018 Korean Music Awards. Her second EP, Prism, developed her sound further, with tracks including Prosper and Good Luck From Her, and in 2018 she also released the track Momom, in a collaboration with South Korean indie rock artist Oh Hyuk.

CIFIKA has established herself internationally as an artist to watch, and has developed a reputation as a cutting-edge and innovative musician and performer. In 2018 she announced the longest ever US tour for a Korean solo act, visiting 20 cities, and she has performed at Austin’s South by Southwest festival, the Netherlands’ Amsterdam Dance Event, and Japan’s Circus Tokyo. Beyond her music, CIFIKA has modelled for GQ and Nylon, has been profiled in i-D magazine, and recorded the documentary Short Term Memory.
