Coasts, an electrifying band hailing from Bristol, England, has made significant strides in the music industry since their formation in 2011. The group, consisting of Chris Caines, Liam Willford, James Gamage, David Goulbourn, and Ben Street, quickly garnered attention with their infectious sound, often described as a Tropical Guitar style. Their debut single, “Stay,” released in 2012, marked the beginning of a promising career, receiving substantial radio support and leading to a series of sold-out shows across the UK.

In 2014, Coasts achieved a major breakthrough with their single “Oceans,” which not only received acclaim from BBC Radio 1 but also amassed over four million plays on SoundCloud. This success was complemented by their fourth single, “A Rush of Blood,” which was named Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’ and further solidified their presence in the indie rock scene. The band’s dynamic performances at festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella showcased their ability to captivate audiences worldwide.

The release of their self-titled debut album in January 2016 marked a significant milestone, charting at number 38 in the UK. Their sophomore album, “This Life Vol.1,” released in 2017, reached an impressive number 17 on the UK charts, demonstrating their growth and popularity. Coasts embarked on extensive tours, including a 38-date UK tour, expanding their fanbase and solidifying their reputation as a must-see live act.

In 2018, Coasts embarked on a world tour, culminating in a sold-out show at Kentish Town Forum in London. Although they announced their farewell tour later that year, their impact on the indie rock genre remains undeniable.
