David And Tamela Mann

David and Tamela Mann, lauded for their significant contributions to gospel music and acting, established Tillymann Music Group in 2005. This followed Tamela’s foundational vocal work with Kirk Franklin and the Family, where she was a primary vocalist on tracks like ‘Now Behold the Lamb’ and ‘Lean on Me’ beginning in 1992. Tamela launched her solo recording career with ‘Gotta Keep Movin” (2005) and ‘The Master Plan’ (2009). Concurrently, Tamela debuted in Tyler Perry’s stage play ‘I Can Do Bad All By Myself’ in 2000, leading to her film debut in ‘Kingdom Come’ (2001) and a starring role in Tyler Perry’s ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman’ (2005).

Her album ‘One Way’ (2016) also topped the Billboard Gospel Albums chart, with the single ‘God Provides’ earning her a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song in 2017. Their collective acting career flourished with Tamela starring in ‘Meet the Browns’ film (2008), ‘Madea Goes to Jail’ (2009), and the TBS sitcom ‘Meet the Browns’ (2009–2011). David and Tamela also starred in and produced the Bounce TV sitcom ‘Mann & Wife’ from 2015 to 2017. In 2019, Billboard recognized ‘Best Days’ as the Gospel Album of the Decade.

Tamela released her album ‘Live Breathe Fight’ in 2024 and is slated to appear in ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’ in 2025.
