Dhurata Murturi, known professionally as Dhurata Dora, was born on December 24, 1992, in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany, to an Albanian family. She attended elementary school in Fürth. Her music career began in Kosovo in 2011 with the release of her debut single and music video, “Vete kërkove.” This initial release was followed by a collaboration with Don Arbas in 2012 on the song “Get Down,” which contributed to her growing recognition in the region. She continued to release music, including “I Like Dat” in 2013 and a collaboration with Blunt & Real and Lumi B on “Edhe Pak” in the same year.
A significant turning point in Dhurata Dora’s career occurred in 2014 with the release of her single “A bombi.” In 2015, she formalized her professional collaborations by partnering with Max Production Albania. This collaboration supported her continued artistic output, leading to a series of successful singles and expanding her reach. Her international breakthrough came in April 2019 with the release of “Zemër,” featuring Algerian rapper Soolking. This song achieved commercial success, reaching number one in Albania and charting in Belgium, Switzerland, and France, where it earned a platinum certification from the Syndicat National de l’Édition Phonographique (SNEP). The music video for “Zemër” has accumulated over 714 million views on YouTube as of July 2022.
Following her international success, Dhurata Dora continued to engage in high-profile collaborations. In February 2020, she released “Lass los” with German-Albanian rapper Azet. Her album “Dhurata” was released in March 2023, featuring 16 original songs, including eight collaborations with various artists. Later in July 2023, she released the single “Pa mu” and also collaborated with RAF Camora on the song “Palma.” Further expanding her international presence, she partnered with Romanian singer Inna and English rapper Stefflon Don for the single “Yummy” in 2023. Her career demonstrates consistent musical output and strategic partnerships that have broadened her audience across different European territories.
