DOMi & JD Beck have quickly emerged as a prominent jazz duo, known for their innovative blend of traditional jazz elements with modern influences and extensive collaborations with acclaimed artists. After their initial meeting at the NAMM Show, the dynamic duo Domi and JD Beck officially commenced their musical collaboration in 2018, quickly gaining widespread recognition through their compelling online performance videos. These early showcases garnered attention from notable jazz and hip-hop musicians including Anderson .Paak, Louis Cole, and Thundercat. Their early career included roles as backing musicians for artists such as Thundercat and Anderson .Paak throughout 2019, followed by a tour with the progressive rock band Chon that same year.

In November 2020, the duo performed ‘Them Changes’ with Thundercat and Ariana Grande at the virtual Adult Swim Festival, further solidifying their presence. Their songwriting prowess was highlighted in 2021 when they co-wrote ‘Skate’ for Silk Sonic, the acclaimed collaboration between Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars. Building on this momentum, Domi and JD Beck signed with Anderson .Paak’s label Apeshit, in partnership with Blue Note Records, in April 2022. This led to the release of their debut single, ‘Smile,’ followed by their highly anticipated debut studio album, ‘Not Tight,’ on July 29, 2022.
