Domo Genesis initially gained prominence as a member of the Los Angeles hip-hop collective Odd Future and has since established a solo career, culminating in his debut album, “Genesis,” and the founding of his own record label. After joining the Los Angeles hip-hop collective Odd Future in mid-2009, Domo Genesis quickly made his mark with his debut mixtape, ‘Rolling Papers,’ released on August 30, 2010. This project featured production predominantly from fellow Odd Future members Tyler, the Creator, Left Brain, and Syd tha Kyd, setting the foundation for his distinct lyrical style. He followed this success with his second mixtape, ‘Under the Influence,’ released on September 20, 2011, which garnered critical acclaim for its focused style and marked a substantial artistic improvement.
In 2021, he appeared on Tyler, the Creator’s Grammy-winning album ‘Call Me If You Get Lost,’ contributing to the song ‘MANIFESTO.’ Further solidifying his presence, Domo Genesis released the project ‘Intros, Outros & Interludes’ with Evidence on July 29, 2022. In 2023, he actively engaged his fanbase by re-releasing earlier acclaimed mixtapes to streaming platforms, including ‘No Idols’ on April 20 and ‘Red Corolla’ on June 30. These ongoing efforts underscore his sustained artistic output and continued relevance within the hip-hop scene, consistently delivering projects that resonate with both critics and listeners.
