From Ashes To New, led by founding member Matt Brandyberry, released their debut album, Day One, on February 26, 2016. The album featured the single ‘Through It All,’ which ascended to number 6 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in 2016. Building on earlier releases like their debut single ‘My Fight’ and an eponymous extended play (both 2013), and the Downfall EP (2015), Day One marked a significant milestone. A deluxe digital edition of Day One, featuring new tracks and an acoustic rendition of ‘Lost and Alone,’ was released in November 2016, solidifying their breakthrough success.
Following the success of Day One, From Ashes To New commenced work on their second studio album in December 2016. Significant lineup changes occurred, with Tim D’onofrio and Chris Musser departing in March 2017, followed by the recruitment of Mat Madiro (formerly of Trivium) as drummer and Danny Case as lead singer in July 2017. This refreshed lineup released the single ‘Crazy’ on February 1, 2018, which climbed to number 3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. The full-length sophomore album, The Future, released later in 2018, debuted at number 163 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart, showcasing the bands continued momentum.
The album yielded two impactful singles: ‘Nightmare,’ which reached number 4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in 2023, and ‘Barely Breathing,’ which achieved number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in 2024. Through a consistent stream of charting albums and singles, strategic collaborations, and a dynamic live presence, From Ashes To New remains a prominent and evolving force in the rock genre, consistently delivering impactful music.
