Fromis 9 is a South Korean girl group known for their vocal performances and stage presence.
fromis_9 was announced as the new brand ambassador for Neogen, aiming to strengthen the brand image and secure new target customers. This partnership was commemorated with special events following their selection as a new model.
Fromis 9 was formed through the 2017 reality show “Idol School” by CJ E&M, debuting on January 24, 2018, with the extended play “To. Heart” under Stone Music Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment’s creative direction. The initial lineup consisted of nine members: Roh Ji-sun, Song Ha-young, Lee Sae-rom, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, Park Ji-won, Lee Seo-yeon, Baek Ji-heon, and Jang Gyu-ri. Their journey began with their pre-debut single “Glass Shoes,” performed at the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2018, their management transitioned to Off The Record Entertainment, a new label established by Stone Music, marking a new phase in their career. The group continued to release music, including their second EP, “To. Day,” and the special single album “From.9,” featuring all nine members.
The group experienced significant management changes and member adjustments throughout their career. In August 2021, Fromis 9 moved to Pledis Entertainment, a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation, where they achieved their first music show win with the special single “Talk & Talk” on SBS MTV’s “The Show.” In July 2022, Jang Gyu-ri departed the group, and Fromis 9 continued as an eight-member group. Further changes occurred in early 2025: Lee Sae-rom, Roh Ji-sun, and Lee Seo-yeon did not continue with the group after their contracts expired, leading to a reformation with five members—Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-gyung, Lee Chae-young, and Baek Ji-heon—under the new label Asnd. The group maintained its original name and released their sixth EP, “From Our 20’s,” in June 2025, which included the summer-themed lead single “Like You Better.” This release earned them a first-place trophy on “Music Bank.”
Fromis 9 has expanded its global presence through various performances and tours. In 2022, they held their first solo concerts, the ‘Love From Tour,’ in Seoul and Tokyo. In 2024, they participated in several festivals, including Weverse Con, Kwave Music Festival in Manila, and the Waterbomb Festival across multiple cities. Their trajectory continued with the announcement of their first world tour, ‘Now Tomorrow,’ scheduled to kick off in Seoul in August 2025, with legs in the United States and Asia. The group has received industry recognition, including the Rising Award at the Asia Artist Awards in 2018 and the Hot Trend Female Idol Group award at the Brand Customer Loyalty Awards in 2021.
