Geese

Geese was formed in 2016 in Brooklyn, New York, by members Cameron Winter (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Emily Green (guitar), Dominic DiGesu (bass), Max Bassin (drums), and former member Foster Hudson (guitar). The band members attended Brooklyn Friends School and Little Red School House. During their high school years, they practiced and recorded material in Max Bassin’s basement in Fort Greene. The band initially produced several independent releases, including the EP “EP” (2018), the album “A Beautiful Memory” (2018), and a second EP, “Bottomless Pink Lagoon” (2019), which were later removed from streaming platforms.

After initially planning to disband upon high school graduation in 2020, their self-produced demos attracted attention from various record labels. Geese subsequently signed with Partisan Records. This led to the release of their label debut, “Projector,” on October 29, 2021. The album was recorded in Bassin’s basement from late 2019 to early 2020 and mixed by Dan Carey, receiving critical acclaim with a Metacritic average of 83 out of 100. Singles from “Projector” included “Disco,” “Low Era,” and “Projector.” Following this, they released their third studio album, “3D Country,” on June 23, 2023, produced by James Ford. This album featured singles such as “Cowboy Nudes,” “3D Country,” “Mysterious Love,” and “I See Myself.” An accompanying EP, “4D Country,” with unreleased tracks from the “3D Country” sessions, was released on October 13, 2023.

In December 2023, founding guitarist Foster Hudson departed from the band to pursue academic interests, with Geese continuing as a quartet. In 2024, Cameron Winter released his debut solo album, “Heavy Metal,” which garnered significant critical acclaim and increased the band’s exposure. Geese announced a North American headlining tour in June 2025 and on July 8, 2025, they announced their fourth studio album, “Getting Killed,” simultaneously releasing its first single, “Taxes.” Additional singles “Trinidad” and “100 Horses” followed. The album was released on September 26, 2025, charting on the Billboard 200, ARIA Charts, Irish Albums Chart, NZ Top 40 Albums, and UK Albums Chart. The band performed “Taxes” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on October 1, 2025. In August 2025, discussions arose regarding a potential fifth studio album with producer Kenny Beats, although band members later clarified the early stages of this collaboration.
