Born Grace Chung on May 15, 1992, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Grace Kelly began her musical journey at a young age. She started playing clarinet and classical piano before discovering her passion for the saxophone. At the age of seven, she wrote her first song, “On My Way Home.” Her talent was recognized early, leading to professional engagements as a preteen. She completed her high school education and earned her GED at 16, then went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in professional music at 19.
Kelly released her debut album, “Dreaming,” at just 12 years old in 2005. She quickly garnered attention within the jazz community, working with prominent artists and receiving critical acclaim. Her career progressed with consistent touring and numerous recordings, reflecting her diverse skills in jazz, electro-jazz-pop, and other genres. She has performed in prestigious venues worldwide and collaborated with a range of renowned musicians, demonstrating her versatility as a performer and composer.
Beyond her live performances and recordings, Kelly has also made contributions to film and television, composing and performing music for various productions. She is also dedicated to music education, co-founding Saxy School, an online saxophone school, and serving on the Board of Trustees for Berklee College of Music. Her continued innovation in music and engagement with her audience online have marked her as a notable figure in modern music.
