Hailey Whitters, born on September 9, 1989, in Shueyville, Iowa, is an American country music singer-songwriter. She attended Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids. Whitters moved to Nashville in 2007, where she immersed herself in the city’s songwriting community. She began her career writing songs for other established artists while pursuing her own recording aspirations. Her dedication led to her writing songs for Little Big Town and Alan Jackson, and collaborating with Lori McKenna.
Whitters released her debut full-length album, “Black Sheep,” in 2015. Over the years, she has toured with Little Big Town and opened for artists like Maren Morris on her 2019 “Girl: The World Tour” and Luke Combs on his 2024 “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” tour. A significant turning point in her career was the release of her extended play, “The Days,” in 2019, which served as the first half of her album, “The Dream.” In June 2020, Whitters signed with Big Loud Records’ imprint Songs & Daughters, launching her own Pigasus imprint. Her third album, “Living The Dream,” a reissue of “The Dream” with additional songs and duets, was released in 2021.
Her fourth album, “Raised,” released on March 18, 2022, marked her first appearance on the Billboard charts, peaking at #9 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The album featured the platinum-selling single “Everything She Ain’t,” which was released to country radio in June 2022. Whitters supported this album with The Heartland Tour and by supporting Jon Pardi’s Ain’t Always The Cowboy Tour in 2022. Her fifth album, “Corn Queen,” was announced on April 4, 2025, and released on June 6, 2025. She has received critical acclaim, including a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year in 2022 for “A Beautiful Noise” (as a co-writer), and winning New Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2023.
