His musical journey began in 2010 as a solo contestant on The X Factor UK, where he, along with four other contestants, formed the boy band One Direction. The group rapidly achieved global success, selling over 70 million records worldwide, accumulating 137 number ones, and winning multiple accolades, including five Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, five American Music Awards, and six BRIT Awards. One Direction made history as the first band to have their initial four albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200 charts. Later that year, he made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed war film, “Dunkirk.” His second album, “Fine Line,” released in 2019, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, achieving the biggest first-week sales by an English male artist in history, and featured the hit single “Watermelon Sugar,” which topped the US Billboard Hot 100. “Fine Line” was included in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” Styles’ third album, “Harry’s House” (2022), broke several records and earned him a Grammy Award for Album of the Year, with its lead single “As It Was” becoming the number-one song globally in 2022.
Beyond music, Styles is recognized for his distinctive, gender-neutral fashion sense, becoming the first man to appear solo on the cover of Vogue magazine in a blue Gucci dress. He launched his gender-neutral beauty brand, Pleasing, in November 2021. Styles has also expanded his acting roles, appearing in “Eternals” (2021), “Don’t Worry Darling” (2022), and “My Policeman” (2022).
