Housewife, the indie rock project of Brighid Fry, crafts pop-flavored music exploring contemporary youth experiences, societal issues, and personal identity, appealing to socially conscious and music-loving audiences. After their debut self-titled EP was released on September 30, 2017, the indie rock project Housewife, then known as Moscow Apartment and fronted by Brighid Fry, quickly garnered significant acclaim. The 2017 EP, which followed the video release for their single ‘Annie,’ was praised for its mature songwriting, leading NOW Magazine to include them in its 2018 list of Toronto Musicians to Watch. In 2017, the project earned ‘Best Young Songwriters’ at the Toronto Independent Music Awards and ‘Young Performers of the Year’ at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

In 2022, she was acknowledged as a Top Environmentalist Under 25 by The Starfish, a Canadian youth climate leadership organization. Her commitment extends to active involvement with organizations such as Climate Justice Toronto, Unist’ot’en Camp, No Music on a Dead Planet, The Jellyfish Project, and Earth/Percent, and she was instrumental in establishing the Canadian chapter of Music Declares Emergency. The project’s music consistently explores contemporary youth experiences, societal issues, and personal identity, particularly through themes related to climate change and social commentary. Demonstrating continued prolificacy, Housewife released the ‘Girl Of The Hour’ EP in 2025.
