Hudson Taylor

Hudson Taylor was an Irish folk and Americana duo that gained recognition for their distinct musical style and live performances, transitioning from busking on the streets of Dublin to touring internationally and releasing multiple charted albums. After their self-released debut EP ‘Battles’ soared to number one on the Irish iTunes chart and number 14 in the UK in August 2012, Hudson Taylor, an acclaimed folk and Americana duo, quickly established a significant presence. The duo, comprised of brothers Harry and Alfie Hudson-Taylor, followed this initial success with the ‘Cinematic Lifestyle’ EP in December 2012 and the ‘Osea’ EP in October 2013. Their burgeoning profile led to prominent support slots, including touring with Jake Bugg on his UK tours in March 2013 and Autumn 2014, and performing for a massive audience supporting The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park in 2013.

At the close of 2023, the duo Hudson Taylor officially dissolved, with both brothers embarking on new creative endeavors. Harry Hudson-Taylor launched a solo career under the moniker Lady Bird Lad and became involved in English learning projects based in Germany. Alfie Hudson-Taylor introduced his podcast, ‘How to Break an Artist,’ offering reflections and insights from his extensive experience within the music industry.
