Duffy

Duffy, a Welsh singer and actress, gained international recognition for her soulful vocal style and significant contributions to contemporary music. After finishing second in the Welsh television talent show Wawffactor in 2003, Duffy released a three-song Welsh extended play titled ‘Aimée Duffy’ in 2004, which later achieved chart success. Her career trajectory escalated significantly after signing with A&M Records (UK) in November 2007, quickly gaining exposure through appearances on BBC Two’s ‘Later with Jools Holland.’ In March 2008, Duffy released her debut album, ‘Rockferry,’ which immediately topped the UK Albums Chart and several international charts, securing global attention. Its lead single, ‘Mercy,’ also soared to number one on the UK Singles Chart and performed exceptionally well internationally.

Following this, Duffy appeared in the film ‘Legend’ in 2015, where she also contributed three original songs to its acclaimed soundtrack. In 2020, Duffy returned to the public eye, releasing two previously unreleased songs, ‘Something Beautiful’ and ‘River in the Sky.’ She continues to manage her music through Polydor Records, a division of Universal Music Group, maintaining her distinctive voice and creative output within the industry.
