I’m With Her is a Grammy Award-winning American band, comprised of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, recognized for their unique blend of Americana, bluegrass, and folk music. After first collaborating at a workshop at the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Grammy Award-winning American band I’m With Her, comprised of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan, made their debut performance at the Celtic Connections festival in Scotland in January 2015. The trio, recognized for their unique blend of Americana, bluegrass, and folk music, immediately embarked on a tour across Europe. Mid-2015 saw them spend four days in Los Angeles to write original songs, followed by an intensive eight-day songwriting session in a Vermont farmhouse in December of the same year.
Officially adopting the name ‘I’m With Her’ in early 2015, they showcased their collaborative talent by releasing a cover of John Hiatt’s ‘Crossing Muddy Waters’ in 2015, establishing their distinct sound. I’m With Her continued their prolific output with the release of their single ‘Little Lies’ in 2017, undertaking a successful U.S. tour later that year to connect with their growing fanbase. Their highly anticipated debut album, ‘See You Around,’ was recorded at the renowned Real World Studios in Bath, Somerset, England, and expertly co-produced by Ethan Johns.
Looking ahead, I’m With Her announced their new album and accompanying tour, ‘Wild and Clear and Blue,’ in March 2025, following the release of their single ‘Ancient Light.’ The full album is set to be released on May 9, 2025. This upcoming body of work continues to blend their individual artistry into a cohesive musical expression, incorporating subtle references to genre touchstones such as Nanci Griffith’s ‘Love At The Five & Dime’ and John Prine’s ‘Paradise.’ The announcement has generated significant anticipation for their continued evolution and captivating live performances.
