Md. Mahmudul Haque Imran, known professionally as Imran Mahmudul, was born on September 5, 1990, in Konapara, Jatrabari, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His musical journey began after he emerged as the first runner-up in the “Channel i Sera Kontho – 2008” singing competition. He received his training in music composition and sound engineering from the musician Arfin Rumey. Imran Mahmudul’s career officially started in 2008 with his first movie song for *Bhalobashar Lal Golap*, a collaboration with veteran singer Sabina Yasmin.
His inaugural solo album, *Shopnoloke*, was produced by Arfin Rumey and featured collaborations with other artists including Sabina Yasmin and Sabrina Porshi. A significant milestone in his career occurred in 2014 when his song “Fire Eshona” became the second most-watched Bangladeshi song on YouTube that year. His work has since expanded to include numerous studio albums and extended plays (EPs).
Imran Mahmudul has garnered substantial recognition within the music industry, culminating in multiple awards. He won the Best Male Singer at the Meril Prothom Alo Awards in 2016 for his song “Dil Dil Dil” from the movie *Bossgiri*. In 2018, he secured another Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Male Singer for “O Hey Shyam” from the soundtrack of *PoraMon 2*. His achievements also include winning the Best Male Playback Singer and Best Music Composer at the 45th Bangladesh National Film Awards in 2020 for the song “Tui Ki Amar Hobi Re” from the film *Bishwoshundori*, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in Bangladeshi music.
