Infinity is a Norwegian Eurodance band formed in the late 1990s, made up of Kjell Gabriel Henriksen from Asker and Birgitte Moe from Bærum. Infinity was formed in 1995 as Barbie-Q with three rappers and a singer: member Birgitte Moe worked as a cashier at a bakery and Kjell Henriksen worked at a record store within the same mall. The two met after work to talk about joining forces and Birgitte asked Kjell if she could sing for his band. After they came together, they changed their name from Barbie-Q to Infinity to avoid any rights issues.
In 1998 the band consisted of Kjell, Birgitte, and Egil Marius Storstein. Their first single entitled “Happy” was released in May of 1998 and peaked at the No. 2 position on VG-lista. The band followed this single up with two others, “Makin’ Out” and “Feeling Good.” Egil Storstein left the band in 2000 before the group dropped their sophomore album.
In 2001, the two remaining members Kjell and Birgitte switched record labels to MTG. There they released their sophomore effort Naked In The Rain in October of 2001. The album was promoted by singles “Naked In The Rain” and “Can You Hear.” In May 2003 the group recorded and released three songs “Pink Panther”, “L.O.V.E.” and “One More Chance (Na Na Na).”
Infinity took a break from music until 2007 when they announced their comeback with the song “Hooked On You”. The band had rereleased www.happy-people.net, which remains the No. 1 selling dance album in Norway.
