Infinity

Infinity is a Norwegian Eurodance group that originated in the late 1990s, comprised of singer Birgitte Moe and rapper Kjell G. Henriksen. The duo met in 1995 when Moe was working at a bakery and Henriksen at a record store in the same shopping mall. In 1997, they officially formed Infinity, adopting a ‘bubblegum pop’ or ‘happy music’ style that quickly gained traction on Norwegian dancefloors. Their debut single, “Happy,” released in 1998, became an instant summer hit, selling over 11,000 copies and topping the Norwegian music charts (VG-list) for 11 weeks. This achievement marked them as the first Norwegian band to debut at second place on the charts. Following this success, they released “Feelin’ Good” and “Makin’ Out,” both of which also charted.

In 1999, Infinity released their debut album, “www.happy-people.net.” This album achieved considerable success not only in Norway but also in Japan, Finland, and the Benelux region, leading to over 70 concerts worldwide that year. In 2001, Infinity signed a record deal with MTG Music. Under this new label, they released their first cover hit, “Sleeping My Day Away,” which reached the top of the Norwegian radio program “Ti i Skuddet.” Later that year, they released their second album, “Naked in the Rain.” Infinity received a platinum record for the single “Naked in the Rain” in 2021, reaffirming their enduring impact on the music industry. The band has also participated in the Norwegian national Eurovision Song Contest semi-finals with the song “Hooked on You” in 2007. They actively participate in the ‘We Love the 90’s’ tour in Norway.
